Hublot is a Luxury brand of Swiss watches established in 1980. Its founder and creator Carlo Crocco is an Italian watchmaker born into a watch making dynasty. He left the family business to establish his own brand, an intelligent combination of Italian style and Swiss craftsmanship. The brand is new though, but it’s making headlines already. Carlo Crocco’s vision was to create a watch which could be worn at state dinners or the opera, as well as suitable for golf and deep sea diving. All these qualities put together did make a unique watch indeed. It is water resistant to a depth of 165 feet. This brand claims its wrist band is a very exceptional feature. Un like other luxury brands Hublot has rubber strap. Crocco’s choice of rubber was confirmed when rubber was chosen as a versatile material, at the creation of the time show in 90’s.
The design of Hublot stands out owing to its pure lines and ingeniosity in use of materials. Crocco developed tempered rubber that is practically indestructible it is (claimed to be) resistant to chemical deterioration. It absorbs body oils and conforms to the shape of the wearer’s wrist. It has zero weight, the lighter the better. Many people, who knew Crocco, believed that he used tempered rubber because it was part of his personality to move away from the ordinary.
The light weight time piece with sleek black rubber, plus all the minute detailed work done by hand added up to a retail price from 2,500 USD to 60,000 USD. Of course buying an expensive piece which is not time tested is an endeavor many of us would chose to avoid. Besides, there is ‘very little’ to ‘no visible difference’ in Hublot watch and Hublot replica watch. The difference ‘if any’ is not visible to an untrained eye. The replica owner is advised to avoid diving or/and swimming with the watch on the wrist, because the replica is not as water proof as its original.
